The show begins with Barry and desparo having a chat as continuation the previous episode (1). Then suddenly desparo gives Barry a choke slam sending him slamming on the floor . Barry tried to ask why he did that he replied saying he has conducted an experiment on the force he will need to kill Barry. Barry tht your power has recently accelerated so as your ability to decend into madness. Telling him tragedy awaits him that it will break his mind telling him also
"it's not about whether your mind cracks or not it's about when ". Barry says I still have 7 days desparo tells him if I were you I would worry about tomorrow. Despero tells him I will keep watching your mind but once I see it start breaking I will come for you .
Then the show begins again With team flash trying to find information about desparo by going through alien records but there was nothing on it .
Then later in the day Barry and iris were together barry thinking on how desparo say he is gonna lose his mind he was worries if something bad was gonna happen to iris but iris told him with confidence assuring him that it is gonna be fine .
During that time Barry got an alert from CCPD on reaching the scene to investigate a bank robbery in which one of the security guards sustained a mental break down and was hospitalized . Barry was moving further to the carryiut his investigation when captain Kramer intercepted telling him to submit his badge that he has been suspended.
Barry was in total shock as he hasn't done anything wrong then he questions captain Kramer why he was been suspended she told him that the investigation on the meta criminal a.k.a sunshine has something to do with him so h is currently under investigation.
Later in the day,Barry think that the case of the security guard loosing his mind has to do with his matter . So he later went to the hospital as he phases through the wall to talk to him but suddenly he received a call from Caitlin telling him to come to star labs urgently geeting there ,he was told that the government wants to shut down star labs because it's emitting to much radiations that endangers public health so team flash was actually told to evacuate the premises as the teams pack their most important items barry to the time vault telling Gideon ,to initiate holographic sequence so that the sensitive items in starlabs linking to his identity wouldn't be exposed as CCDBS search for dangerous radiation levels around the labs.
Later on Barry search the team trying to locate zoltar than gets lucky enough to locate her in her criminal operation then after a short chick chatter between Barry and Zoltar at the crime scene Barry trys to take her to iron heights but it didn't go as he wanted because as he speeds up to handcuff her he suddenly appears at home with the rest of the team slamming on the wall with his speed .As he tries to regain himself from that incidence he was surrounded by the team with Caitlin pointing spped gun at him and ellegra on standby with her powers activated then Caitlin shouted "what's wrijg with you ".
Barry was in total confusion as Caitlin says he threw a lightening bolt close at cheater but he was lucky enough to be missed . Then Barry defends himself saying nothing is wrong with him blaming Zoltar earlier on so Barry zooms of to the city trying to search for Zoltar but stopa as he is unlucky this time around but was now intercepted by desparo Telling him that he could search all he wants for Zoltar but the answer your looking for lies in you .
To cut in short , Barry confronts h asking him what he is gonna gain in protecting this world since he is an alien?. He says he is gonna gain home as he explains to Barry how he was banished from his own planets and was brought here and how some evil villin took over his planet who he had chance to kill but he forgave then later banishes him .
On the other hand cheater and ellegra were together when ellegra ask Chester what's he building but he say nothing then ellegra still pressurizes him then he finally confesses that frost ask him to build a weapon that will hurt desparo lamenting that he doesn't want to build something that will hurt anyone .then suddenly an alarm went up as there was some criminal activities going down town then they alert Barry .
Barry speeds up to the scene where Zoltar was causing choas as a result of her mind controlling powers using it to Robb the meseum delivery then Barry tried to cuff her but she used her powers to hold him down and suspends him in mid air squizzing him gradually as Barry shouts in pain.
Chester gets an alert than the flash is getting his butt kicked (been delth with by Zoltar) then he communicates with Barry on COMS as team figure out a way to get Barry out of that suitation they tried to contact frost but she was far away and wouldn't get there in time .
Barry tells cheater he can defeat Zoltar that he need to generate a lightening bolt but Chester tells him that he can't do that as he is suspended in mid air as he need friction to generate it thus ,telling him he can't run this can't generate lightening suddenly the team hears some sparks of lightening through the COMS as they were surprised how it was possible then chester explains telling his possible as Barry would be vibrating at a microscopic level letting lightening build inside him then release it .
According to what cheater already said Barry was building up massive lightening bolts that that springed out into the scene striking Zoltar and some police cars and vehicles then he got loosed then apprehended Zoltar .
Barry was with the rest of the team celebrating victory telling them it has been a long day, Caitlin was also informed tht when zoltar was apprehended the guard that lost his mind regained it back.
Barry told the team it has been a long day and tells them to have a meal together then he say he would also inform JOE but the team was surprised telling Barry that the joke isn't funny Barry was still surprised and in total confusion . Caitlin tells Barry JOE is dead that he died 6 months ago. Barry refused to believe he speed up to ciciyo's place in a attempt in finding Joe. He sees iris stop and ask where joe but iris and ciciyo told him joe is dead he was in total confusion.
Then iris receives and alert and turned on the TV where they news says the flash attacks central city after Zoltar was apprehended and several injured . Barry says he doesn't remember doing that that they should believe him .
Then suddenly ,desparo shows up and says enough then blasted him . ciciyo tried to over power him with her syckick abilities but he was too strong then he puts her to sleep . Then Barry regains himself from the blast telling desparo enough that it's him he wants he should get over with it.
As desparo released the second blast toward Barry ellegra and Chester's shoe up with the tech chester built shielding the barry as a result the blast backfired then he tells Barry to run.
Barry quickly zoomed off to where he gathered heores to fight the domators at another star labs facility where he sees black lightening and tells him he need his help.
NOTE: some parts on the show was skipped .
