HOW TO SURVIVE A BRAKE FAILURE

 I HIT THE BRAKES AND MY CAR ISN'T STOPPING ,WHAT SHOULD I DO?.

                 Brakes in  vehicles or automobile are built for the purpose of slowing down or leading the car to a complete stop without brakes your car won't be able to stop at the right time which is very is very scary imagining driving a car that can't stop. So brakes are   very essential and indispensable  and should be given more attention mostly and should be properly maintained because at some point in driving you must apply your brakes  . When it comes to brake you shouldn't joke with it because ,once it develops a fault or fails it might cause a catastrophic ending .

               

                Imagine driving back home from your working place already exhausted as a result of your today's schedule then it's a red light ,you apply your brakes unfortunately your car isn't responding or decelerating .At that time it would be very scary because ,without the brakes there is a very high chance or tendency you could have end up crashing .

                They are many variables that could be responsible for brake failure such like leaking master cylinder,low brake fluid,weared out brake pads and most of all, lack of maintenance all this fault would have been developed to the extent it causes brake failure if the brakes has been regularly checked and maintained . 

              When you experience brake failure you should follow the steps below inorder to steer your self safely without been involved in a car accident or crash:

              When you push the brake pedal down and the car doesn't respond please do not panic as fear could make matter worst and could could make your crash so ,you have to be bold and brave and have confidence in your self that your can steer your  self to safety .

               Look around and observe the environment try steering to a place with less traffic and less obstacles  and please avoid hills because hills can increase the speed as a result of gravity while doing that, remove your legs from the accelerator  because, a place with less traffic and obstacles reduces the chances of or tendency of crashing at the same time try applying the brakes again if they don't work ,you move over to the next step........

              Try using the hand brake or the electric brake because the hand brake works with a different mechanism so even though the brakes fail you could still apply it and could still work keep in mind that ,when you apply the hand brake your car might skid so get ready to steer. Apply the hand brake slowly then you notice that the car start skidding like I said just earlier , then you try steering in the opposite direction of the skid inorder to gain control of your car . 

But if the hand brake or electric brake fails you move over to the next step 

             Try alerting motorist people around to that your brakes has failed then at the same time keep your eyes on the road and try avoiding or dodging obstacles at this point both your hand brakes and your normal brakes had failed so try using friction to slow down the car by down shifting  it to an immediate lower gear this is called engine braking because as you change to a lower gear the speed reduces .

               And also try driving in a very rough road because the rough road produces more resistance there by producing more friction and resistance to the vehicles motion you would notice the car is gradually slowing down inorder to increase the decelerating effect ,drive the car scratching it against the pavement this would still slow the car  more . At this point your life is more precious than your car even though it is been damaged then finally the car would come to a stop then turn off the engine and put the gear to  'P' if it is an automatic car or change the gear to gear "3" ok a manual transmission.

                   Immediately get out of the car because during the rough driving at that time your car would have been damaged including the sensitive parts like the fuel Tank could even be punctured  so you should go out of the car as it comes to a complete stop . Then call the towing service to toe your car to a technician to get it fixed .

                At this point, congratulations!!!you have just successful survived a brake failure .
